The Cardinal is a 1972 original Pete Dye design undergoing a complete remodel by Mr. Dye. During the summer of 2006 the Spence Golf construction crew and design associate Nathan Cashwell worked along side one of the legends in golf architecture in a complete redesign of this testy little track in Greensboro NC. Assisting Mr. Dye was architect Tim Liddy. Seeing Mr. Dye's vision unfold on the ground was a very enjoyable experience.
